As homage to the Anniversary Congress, the EAU has created the Congress History Wall, an audio-visual collage of photographs, texts and film footage that trace the early years of the annual congress and some highlights in the EAU Congress history. EAU Central Research Office
The EAU Central Research Office initiates and coordinates, as well as refines investigator initiated and other clinical research protocols. It also acts to facilitate all aspects of clinical research and expand the current network of active research centres and investigators - basic and clinical - both within the EAU member states and its international affiliates. The office coordinates clinical and translational research in close liaison with the Basic Research Committee of the EAU Research Foundation. The EAU Central Research Office can be visited at the EAU Square (booth B20) in the exhibition area.

EAU Goes Green
After the initial launch of green initiatives in 2009, when the EAU drastically reduced its printed announcements and shifted to more on-line publications, this year’s Anniversary Congress initiated follow-up activities such as the use of environment-friendly materials in promotional pencils, pens and paper. Another example is the new and more interactive EAU website which provides easier access to on-line information, and similar to last year’s initiative, a bigger reduction was made on the printing of abstract books. Abstracts are available on CD and on-line at www.eaubarcelona2010.org.

Another project adopted by the EAU is the ‘green mail,’ an environment-friendly programme of TNT Post. Congress delegates are also provided with a transport pass allowing free travel on Barcelona's public transport network, helping reduce CO2 emission by taxis. Not only speed and logistical convenience are built-in benefits in these schemes, but they greatly reduce costs and the dependency on products and materials that degrade the environment.

#########EAU ID Card
The EAU ID Card functions as an entrance badge for all EAU Congresses and Meetings and replaces the paper congress badge. The EAU ID enables: quick on-site registration, automatic registration of EU-ACME credit points and easy printing of certificates of attendance. Please do not forget to bring your EAU ID Card to Barcelona!

Attendees are expected to wear their EAU ID Card visible at all times. A fixed price of 15, - Euro  will be charged for the replacement of a lost ID Card.

In Barcelona you can eat at the open-air seafront terraces, in the sun, nearly all year round. And you can always sample some tapas: small portions which give you the chance to taste typical Spanish dishes. The Mediterranean diet originated here, by the sea, among the olives groves, vines and wheat fields. Olive oil, wine and bread, combined with vegetables, fish, meat and fruit, created a well-balanced, rich and healthy cuisine. A cuisine appreciated today throughout the world, which has been prepared here for thousands of years, and is renewed daily, with fresh ingredients and creative genius.
