CME Accreditation statement

The 25th Anniversary EAU Congress is accredited by the European Board of Urology for 24 hours of European CME credits in compliance with the UEMS/EACCME regulations – 1 European CME credit per  1 hour with a maximum of 6 European CME credits per day. The EBU works according to the quality standards of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).
Both the EBU and the EACCME are the institutions of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net

All CME events accredited by the EBU have the EACCME endorsement.

The EBU/EACCME CME Credits are recognized by National Accreditation Authorities.

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. Please scan your EAU ID card when entering the sessions!

All CME activities approved by the EBU/EACCME are valid for recognition in the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Region Lombardia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey

All CME activities approved by the EBU/EACCME are valid for recognition in the following specialities:

Dermatology & Venerolog, Paediatric Surgery, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Anaesthesiology, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Endocrinology, Geriatrics, Intensive Care (MJC), Internal Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nuclear Medicine, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Pathology, Plastic Surgery, Cardiology (EBAC), Sports Medicine (MJC), Genetics (MJC), Microbiology, Pneumology (EBAP), Infectious Diseases (EBAID), Surgery, Urology, Oncology (ACCO)

Recognition by the AMA
All CME activities approved by the EBU/EACCME are valid for recognition by the American Medical Association towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact the AMA.

I attended a conference in Europe and received a certificate for EACCME credit–how do I get "AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™"?

In order to receive credit, the activity must appear on the list of approved activities posted in the EACCME section of the UEMS Web site.
To apply for conversion of EACCME credit to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, download the Application for EACCME Credit Conversion and submit (1) the completed application by fax or mail, (2) a copy of the EACCME credit certificate and (3) appropriate processing fee. A certificate of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ will be mailed within four weeks.

Certificate of Attendance
All Certificates of Attendance (attendance certificates and ESU course certificates) for the 25th Anniversary EAU Congress can either be printed in the registration area during the last two days of the congress or online at www.eaubarcelona2010.org. To print your Certificate of Attendance online, you need your EAU ID card number. You can print your Certificates of Attendance at any time as this online service is permanently available.


Overview of attended sessions
As of 26th April 2010 you may print an overview of attended sessions which you may send to your National Urological Society and/or National Accreditation Body together with a copy of the Certificate of Attendance. Please do not forget to scan your EAU Id when entering the sessions!
